80 YEARS ON FROM THE D-DAY LANDINGS
The new 30 min film, 80 Years On
Adapted from the novel THE KID ON SLAPTON BEACH
80 Years On was filmed on the Isle of Wight with locals actors and actresses all giving their time in rememberance of WWII.
The film was commissioned by Dartmouth Book Festival 2024 and was shown there in Devon four times during the Festival.
It has been shown twice at Sandown Library, and in Cowes, Freshwater, Ventnor, St Helens, Sandown, and premiered on 6th June 2024 in Newport at the Apollo Theatre on the 80th anniversary of D-Day with Susie Sheldon, the Lord-Lieutenant of the Isle Wight in attendance.
