VENTNOR BOTANIC GARDEN

Filmed at the turn of the Millenium, the film features a small group of dedicated gardeners and the then Curator Simon Goodenough, nurturing and developing contrasting plantings from all over the world. The vegetation was as lush and green and colourful then as it continues to be, in its almost tropical setting on this sunny south coast of the tiny Isle of Wight. In air warmed by the gulf stream, Ventnor’s beautiful Botanic Garden shows off the heady scents, contrasts and dazzling colours of its wide variety of flora. Watch this enchanting souvenir of one of England’s finest gardens.
