A celebration of Steam – PS Waverly bids farewell to the cruise liner Canberra.
Description
A celebration of Steam – PS Waverly bids farewell to the cruise liner Canberra.
In 1997 SS CANBERRA set out on her final cruise out of Southampton. The feisty little paddle steamer WAVERLEY was there to give a full steam ahead salute to the old liner, nicknamed the Great White Whale, and wish her God Speed. On board PS WAVERLEY and sailing up Southampton Water, we pass and salute the QE2, and we tour the little paddle steamer’s engine room and Bridge and meet the dedicated crew who keep this last sea-going paddle steamer in the world on course. This film is must for steam enthusiasts!
